Huanxin Yilian closes a strategic round on the RMB 100 million scale as its space laser products enter batch delivery

Chinese space laser communication unit maker Huanxin Yilian announced a strategic funding round described as on the RMB 100 million scale, alongside large-scale batch delivery of its space-grade laser products. Multiple units launched on the Zhuque-2E Y4 rocket and are operating stably in orbit.

According to Taibo on 16 October, Huanxin Yilian (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd. announced three milestones: a new strategic funding round described as on the RMB 100 million scale (亿元级), large-scale batch delivery of space-grade laser products, and batch launch of its in-house units on multiple satellites, now operating stably.

Investors in the round include Jinan Caijin Quanding Fund and Jinan Sichen Fund under Jinan Caijin Group, Zhangjiang Suiyue Fund under Zhangjiang Hi-Tech, Suzhou Venture Capital, Longding Investment, Yuanhang Capital and Zhihua Capital. Proceeds will go to upgrading its production lines, building out its own space reliability verification system, further development of core technology, and pre-research and in-orbit demonstrations in four frontier space applications.

Founded in January 2023, the company combines a senior design team from the defence and space sector with a team experienced in commercialising high-speed fibre-optic communications. On a laser technology base it controls itself, it targets four areas: space-based laser communication, high-timeliness optical remote sensing, in-orbit computing and in-space additive manufacturing.

On delivery, the company says it has completed large-scale batch delivery of its full range of space laser products, covering in-house core units such as space-grade lasers and space-grade fibre amplifiers, all of which it says are 100% domestically controlled.

On in-orbit verification, the Zhuque-2E Y4 rocket lifted off at 19:40 Beijing time on 14 October 2026 from the Dongfeng Commercial Aerospace Innovation Test Zone and placed ten satellites into their planned orbits. Multiple Huanxin Yilian units reached orbit on this mission, and the company says all in-orbit equipment shows normal telemetry, stable operation and link performance meeting specification.

Our take: completing funding, batch delivery and multi-satellite deployment at the same time suggests a move from prototypes toward volume production. As satellite internet enters batch network deployment, volume capacity and in-orbit reliability of space laser communication units are becoming key competitive factors.

(The exact funding amount was not disclosed, and the company claims above are from its own announcement as reported by Taibo, a single source.)
