All-solid strap-on medium rocket (Gravity-1); recoverable liquid rocket (Gravity-2); Force-110 kerolox engine
Orienspace was founded in June 2020 and focuses on space transportation: the design, manufacture and launch of rockets and new aerospace transport vehicles, with the Gravity rocket series, the Force engine series and the Hongli series of space information equipment. Gravity-1 is an all-solid medium rocket with strap-on boosters, 29.4 m tall with a liftoff mass of 405 t and 6.5 t to LEO; it made a successful maiden flight from waters off Haiyang in January 2024, its Y2 vehicle launched three satellites from the same area on 11 October 2025, and on 22 July 2026 its Y4 vehicle launched nine satellites from open sea about 170 km east of Shanghai, the type's third flight, after which the company said it had entered scaled commercial operations and planned three more batch launches in the year. Gravity-2 is a reusable liquid rocket rated at 21.5 t to LEO and 15 t to 500 km SSO; its Force-110 main engine completed a first full-engine hot-fire in September 2025 at 110 t sea-level thrust, and the company expects Gravity-2 to be ready for a maiden flight in the fourth quarter of 2026. On the capital side, the company closed a B round of nearly RMB 600 million in January 2024, raised several hundred million yuan in a 2026 Pre-C round with Cowin Capital and Shanghai STVC among investors, and said it was close to closing a C round and had begun preparing for IPO tutoring, with a joint-stock conversion planned within 2026.
