AI computing satellites and space-computing constellation (Star-Compute programme); AI application satellites and payloads
Chengdu Guoxing Aerospace Technology (ADA Space) was founded in May 2018 and is headquartered in Chengdu. It develops AI satellites and payloads and provides space-computing services. It launched China's first AI application satellite in December 2018; on 14 May 2025 it launched the first 12-satellite space-computing constellation of AI computing satellites (Star-Compute Group 01) on a single rocket, and in November 2025 it deployed Alibaba's Qwen3 large model to satellites in orbit to run inference. According to its May 2026 prospectus, the company had completed 14 space missions and built and launched 6 AI payloads, 4 AI application satellites and 18 AI computing satellites, with 37 AI satellites on order worth RMB 1.231 billion. The Star-Compute programme plans a 2,800-satellite space computing network by 2035 (2,400 inference and 400 training satellites), with a thousand-satellite network in commercial service by 2030; Groups 02 and 03 have been built and are planned for deployment in 2026. Revenue was RMB 508 million, 554 million and 703 million in 2023, 2024 and 2025, with net losses of RMB 139 million, 177 million and 256 million. The company closed a RMB 3.55 billion pre-IPO round in April 2026 at a post-money valuation of about RMB 11.554 billion and filed its third listing application with the Hong Kong stock exchange on 14 May 2026 with Guotai Junan International as sole sponsor; no hearing or listing had been reported as of August 2026.
The prospectus shows 2025 revenue of RMB 703 million and a net loss of RMB 256 million, a RMB 3.55 billion pre-IPO round in April 2026 at a RMB 11.554 billion post-money valuation, and a March 2026 contract with a launch provider to launch eight AI computing satellites within the year. The company said it had validated space-computing-based coordinated control of silicon-based agents, and that the Group 02 and 03 space computing centres were built and scheduled for orbital deployment in 2026.
The company said Star-Compute satellites will be deployed in 500–1,000 km dawn-dusk, sun-synchronous and low-inclination orbits, targeting inference capacity in the 100,000-PFLOPS class and training capacity in the million-PFLOPS class; 33 satellites and payloads built and launched to date. (Publish time taken from date.)
The plan comprises 2,400 inference and 400 training satellites, with a thousand-satellite network in commercial service by 2030; the company also disclosed that Qwen3 was deployed to Group 01 satellites in orbit for inference in November 2025.
LandSpace launched the Zhuque-2E Y4 rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center at 20:40 Japan time on 14 October 2026, placing 10 satellites into their planned orbits: eight ADA Space Xingshidai satellites and two Lanta Intelligence Guangchuan laser-communication satellites.
ADA Space completed an eight-satellite launch from the Dongfeng Commercial Aerospace Innovation Test Zone, placing 8 in-house satellites into a dawn-dusk orbit to test key space computing technologies in orbit.
