AI computing satellites and space-computing constellation (Star-Compute programme); AI application satellites and payloads

Chengdu Guoxing Aerospace Technology (ADA Space) was founded in May 2018 and is headquartered in Chengdu. It develops AI satellites and payloads and provides space-computing services. It launched China's first AI application satellite in December 2018; on 14 May 2025 it launched the first 12-satellite space-computing constellation of AI computing satellites (Star-Compute Group 01) on a single rocket, and in November 2025 it deployed Alibaba's Qwen3 large model to satellites in orbit to run inference. According to its May 2026 prospectus, the company had completed 14 space missions and built and launched 6 AI payloads, 4 AI application satellites and 18 AI computing satellites, with 37 AI satellites on order worth RMB 1.231 billion. The Star-Compute programme plans a 2,800-satellite space computing network by 2035 (2,400 inference and 400 training satellites), with a thousand-satellite network in commercial service by 2030; Groups 02 and 03 have been built and are planned for deployment in 2026. Revenue was RMB 508 million, 554 million and 703 million in 2023, 2024 and 2025, with net losses of RMB 139 million, 177 million and 256 million. The company closed a RMB 3.55 billion pre-IPO round in April 2026 at a post-money valuation of about RMB 11.554 billion and filed its third listing application with the Hong Kong stock exchange on 14 May 2026 with Guotai Junan International as sole sponsor; no hearing or listing had been reported as of August 2026.
